London, 31 March 2006, Conival the branded food and beverage company announces interim results for the six month period ended 31 December 2005.

 

Summary

 

  • Successful development of SPARKY BRANDTM  to create a range of everyday breakfast, lunch and dinner food and drink products incorporating Omega 3

 

  • The first SPARKY BRANDTM  products launched into Sainsbury stores in the UK and Selfridges in London

 

  • Conival announces the launch of the SPARKY BRANDTM  juice products in 40 of Waitrose’s largest stores

 

  • Costs for the period were £434,000 and amortisation of goodwill was £573,000 and net interest receivable was £2,000.  The loss before and after taxation was £1,005,000.

 

  • Richard Thompson steps down from the Board and Dr Paul Clayton, non-executive director, has been appointed Deputy Chairman and will take over the responsibilities of the Chairman until a successor is appointed.
