The Board announces the resignation of Richard Thompson as non-executive Chairman as of 31 March 2006.  Dr Paul Clayton, non-executive director, has been appointed Deputy Chairman and will take over the responsibilities of the Chairman until a successor is appointed in due course.

Commenting, Jeremy Schwartz, Chief Executive of Conival plc, said:

“Richard agreed when he joined the Board that he would take the role of Chairman for a year in order to bring his experience to bear through the process of the initial flotation and the early stages of the development of the business.  Conival has now successfully launched its first products into the UK market to widespread support and we will now be looking to make an appointment that will bring additional experience in the food sector to the Board as we grow the business.”
